Inorganic Nonmetals Group

The Inorganic Nonmetals Group provides high volume chemical testing of sediments, soils, environmental samples and drinking water. In support of Virginia's Department of Environmental Quality, this group produces inorganic and nutrient analyses that are used to provide statistics to the House Committees on Conservation and Natural Resources and the Chesapeake Bay and associated tributaries, and to the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Natural Resources on the reduction of toxics in state waters. This group also provides inorganic analyses for Public Drinking Water Supply Systems in support of Virginia's Department of Health Office of Drinking Water monitoring program to ensure that all people in Virginia have access to an adequate supply of affordable, safe drinking water that meets federal and state drinking water standards.
